Happy Wednesday!
I want to share a beautiful card creation today.

Check out her perfect pastel paperwork on this piece.  I love how she's added color to this image.  Linda is a wonderful paper craft artist and friend.  Her blog is called Turtle in the Sand.  Pop over and leave her a lovely comment.  Thanks for sharing your card Linda.

How's it Hangin'?

Happy, crafty Saturday Bloggers.
I've managed to make time to craft some cards recently and found some challenges to enter this weekend.  I took the time early this morning to blog hop and leave comments, I wish I could do this full time.  There is so much inspiration in the card crafting community and I love to see the creative, amazing projects out there.  Hugs and Happy Crafting, you are all amazing <3
I made this card for one of the coolest guys around.  My big brother, Bob. He has the best sense of humor and always stays positive. He hangs in there even when times are chaotic. Bob you're the best. I love you brother.  Check your mailbox :)

Hold on to Your Dreams

I can't imagine what it would be like to arrive home after a day away at school and find that your home is destroyed.  This happened to many families during Hurricane Sandy and one of those affected is Alana, this month's recipient of IFTL Project cards.  Madison Womack is the caring crafter and founder of I Feel The Love Project.  Madison has a new project every month and if you would like to make a card for IFTL and read Alana's story, you can visit the IFTL blog HERE.

I'm also entering this card in the following Challenges

Through the Craftroom Door
for their "Always Anything Goes" Challenge
Created with Love
for their "Things that Fly" Challenge

Visit these blogs and see the amazing inspiration cards crafted by these Design Teams.
Make a card and join in the fun!
Card Recipe
Papers: Recollections Muted Watercolor Flowers, Colorbok Textured Card stock
Embellishments/Tools: Copics, Recollections Brads and Flowers, Spellbinders Labels Eight
This digital stamp is a single butterfly image.  I copied, pasted and resized the same image two more times to create this card.
I encourage Alana to hold on to her dreams.  Wind and weather might take possessions and tangible items but we carry dreams in our hearts.  Nothing can take that away.

Sketchbook News

Happy Sunday crafters.  I hope your weekend was wonderful.  I spent a lovely Saturday evening with friends and relatives at the Olive Garden restaurant.  We had a great time eating WAY too much never-ending soup and salad. We also had a bit of snow last night, something we don't see a lot of in South Carolina.  Less than 24 hours later is has melted away and my boys are sad.  One of the things they miss the most from our years in New Jersey is the snow.  I confess I don't miss it one bit :) I've released a few new digis in the studio today.  I'm also working on some St. Patty's Day sketches which will be coming soon.  Make sure you have a wonderful week.  Until next weekend Hugs and Happy Crafting!

Music in the Studio and a Free Digi

Happy Saturday Crafters.  I locked myself in the studio this morning to get my latest digi ready.  I've been using my Prismas a lot but I made myself grab the Copics this morning for my new image.  I also want to let you know about a pretty cool website.  If you are Copic obsessed you should check it out.  I just love perusing the talent there.  There are some incredible artists out there.  It has a paper crafting section with some gorgeous cards and projects so check it out.
OPC's Violin is finally in the shop.
Music makes the world go round, at least it does in my house :)
I've also added some cuddly buddies. OPC Sheep
I also want to share a project of love from my dear husband.  He made this cool copic organizer/carrier for me.  This was an idea from my best friend Jennifer over at Flip Flop Creations whose DH made her an adorable treasure chest carrying case using plastic light grid.
My DH used a carrying tray from the local department store
and plastic light grid from the home improvement store.  The light grid was the most expensive part of this project at $12.95 per sheet.  He secured a bottom layer of grid and mirrored a top layer so I could use this as a carrying case for on the go projects or a stationary organizer in my studio.
It works perfectly!  Thanks to my DH.  Love that man.

Your freebie for a short time only is OPC Hearts.  Grab them while they last and enjoy!

I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

Feeling Tropical

Hello my crafty friends.  As I type this my sister is flying back to the East Coast from California.  She spent a couple of weeks on a cruise to Hawaii.  I can't wait to hear about her wonderful vacation.  She posted a few beautiful pics at different times throughout her cruise.  I shoplifted one of her photos and sketched it into a digi for her.  If you like it, you can find it in my shop.  I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful week.
Hugs and Happy Crafting <3 - Kim
I used her photo as reference to make sure I'm blending the right colors for my digi.  For most of my sketches I wing it, since this was my dear sister's photo, I wanted to make it as close to her photograph as I could get.
For the leaves I like to outline the veins in a darker brown, then blend with my greens.
You can find this stamp in my Etsy shop.  Just click the image.  Have a fabulous week.
